When Chris Hannah of Arnaud’s French 75 crafted the Vargas Girl, he was dreaming up a way to pour his version of the pin-up girls Peruvian artist Antonio Vargas was famous for painting. Perhaps he had a very inspiring muse. This beguiling gin and Pimm’s cocktail includes flavors of strawberry, passion fruit, lime and mint. There are a lot of good summer cocktails in a city with this kind of heat and this kind of affection for cocktails. But this one … oh, this one makes us want to have our cocktail and drink it too.
