Benito Juarez( "officially" took the presidency of Mexico in 1861 and established an independent Mexican government - standing up to British, Spanish, and French forces. The Mezcal in this cocktail represents Juarez while the cucumber and hot sauce represent the mix of his fiery disposition and cool nature under pressure.
Ingredients
- 6 lime wedges
- 3 cucumber slices
- 2 dashes Mexican hot sauce
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- 2 ounces El Silencio Espadin
Preparation
Muddle the first four ingredients thoroughly. Add Mezcal, and shake with ice. Dump the entire contents into a Rocks Glass and garnish with 3 cucumber slices w with chile-salt.
