Why We Love It: No matter how much best-NOLA-pizza press they’ve gotten, owners Michael Friedman and Greg Augarten are always around throwing pies in the kitchen, and it’s been a blast watching these dough boys graduate from a shared kitchen setup on Rampart Street to baller national slice status in their bustling pie shop on Piety Street. The crackly, chewy crust and friendly neighborhood vibe of the place is worth whatever wait (and there’s almost always a wait). If you’re not in the mood for pizza, house-made pasta dishes (including a knockout vegan option) never disappoint.
