Southern Road Trip: Grand Isle to Preview James Beard House Dinner
Since opening in the Warehouse District in 2007, Grand Isle has been offering diners fresh Louisiana seafood served in a relaxed and inviting setting. With Executive Chef Ryan Haigler at the helm, guests have been treated to the seafood-centric menu highlighting Haigler’s signature style of incorporating both refined and rustic techniques to elevate his dishes.
On Wednesday, August 17, Haigler and his all-star team comprised of Grand Isle Sous Chef Spencer Minch and Chef Jacob Cureton of Annunciation will be bringing their Southern Hospitality to the Big Apple with a delectable dinner at the famed James Beard House in New York City. Aptly titled Southern Road Trip, the dinner will take guests on a gastronomic tour of the South from coastal Louisiana to South Carolina’s shores with stops in between. New Orleanians will get first dibs at the menu with a preview dinner at Grand Isle on Friday, August 5th at 7PM.
The one-night-only sneak peek will feature an abbreviated version of the full James Beard dinner menu, showcasing four of the six courses. Guests can complete their meal with an optional beverage pairing for an additional $30 per person.
