South Louisiana Blackpot Festival and Cookoff

Held in Vermilionville, this two-day festival (October 30-31) includes over twenty music performances and a namesake cookoff.

The planned musical line-up includes Little Freddie King, Aurora Nealand & the Royal Roses, T'Monde, and The Blue Ribbon Healers. Cookoff categories include "gravy," "gumbo," "cracklin," and "dessert," all prepared with cast iron.
