The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience will take place on May 26 – 29, 2016.

“Over the course of its’ 25 years, NOWFE’s dates have varied slightly, but tradition keeps it at the end of May, bringing in many visitors to our city, for what would otherwise just be a long weekend before summer,” states Jamie Peckenpaugh, NOWFE Executive Director.

“This year, we shifted our events more into the weekend making it an easy weekend trip, and created ticket packages to fit varying budgets and interest levels,” states Ted Selogie, NOWFE 2016 President. “These packages will help guide our guests through the best experience that fits their schedule.”

NOWFE 2016 kicks off with its Vintner Dinners on Thursday, May 26th. The Royal Street Stroll, NOWFE’s signature event, as well as the exclusive ViNOLA! Tasting, will move to Friday, May 27th, followed by a single Grand Tasting event and The Big Gateaux Show on Saturday, May 28th.

Experiences and Seminars, offering opportunities to taste, discover and learn more about wine and food, will take place at various locations from Friday through Sunday. "Foraging, Fishing, and a Franco-Spanish Hog War" will be a highlight of this year's program. Amongst other topics, this section will include a "look at how and where foragers and chefs hunt and gather for South Louisiana's indigenous ingredients." Other areas of interest are "New World Oysters & Old World Wines," "Wine, Women, & Wagyu," and more. Visit the website for full details.
