Hearth Cooking at Hermann-Grima

As part of a special holiday calendar, the historic Hermann-Grima House will present its signature hearth cooking demonstrations. The residence's outdoor kitchen offers a glimpse into nineteenth-century culinary practices, featuring a baking oven, stew-holes, and more. Guests will learn about long-ago cooking styles as they witness the preparation of traditional seasonal dishes.
Built in 1831, the Hermann-Grima House is located at 820 Saint Louis Street in the French Quarter. The Woman's Exchange acquired the residence in 1924, and it has been central to educational programming since.
